I filed 2018 taxes with TT. owed tax bill which i paid. money taken from my account. have NEVER recieved a copy of my 2018 return. Dont even know if irs got my money?

In 2019 i have multiple phone calls with TT "expert" know one could get me a copy of my return or acknowledge that the $6,000+ went to the IRS. What can I do? now TT wants me to pay them for doing my 2019 taxes before they will talk with me. Its a scam ... why would i want to give them more money when i dont even know that the IRS got the $6,000+ ... I do know it was taken from my account.

TurboTax does not send you a copy of your do-it-yourself tax return.  You have to print it out for yourself if you want a hard copy.  And as for knowing if the IRS received your payment---your own bank/credit card records are your proof of payment.  TurboTax never knows if, when or how you paid your tax due.    When you look at your TT account and see "tax due"--that is because it is showing you the result of the tax return you prepared using the software.  The IRS does not provide feedback to TurboTax after you file your tax return.

You say you know the money was taken from your account.  What else do you need?  That is your "receipt" to prove you paid the IRS.  The IRS does not send you a receipt.

Do you want a copy of your 2018 return?
