Sometimes banks have more than one routing number. If your bank has several use the one for electronic transfers. You may want to contact your financial institution.
Also, if your bank is Bank of America, some Bank of America customers have discovered that the routing number printed on their checks are not being accepted by the bank for direct deposit of refunds or for direct debit of taxes owed.

Same problem. I have used this account since I started using turbo tax 10 years ago. This is the first time it has flagged the bank routing number as having an error. And it won't let me complete the filing with this error.
I'm stuck with a completed return I cannot submit because of this error.
If you are receiving an error message, follow these steps to resolve your issue:
If you are using Desktop Software:
1. Open TurboTax software, then open the file you are working on.
2. Open the "forms" tab at top left.
3. Scroll down to where the banking information is and the routing box will be yellow with the routing number and the word routing number behind it.
4. Clear the box and move the cursor out of the box, then re-enter the cursor in the box and enter your routing number and that should fix it.
