I entered my american express card to pay the fee. but got a message that there is error with the card number or security code. actually my card is fine.

The billing address for the card must be the same as what was entered on the tax return in the MY INFO section.   If it is not there is a simple workaround ...

 

 

 

To pay for the TurboTax account fees you must have a US credit card with a US billing address.

 

If you have a US billing address and are having a problem with the credit card being accepted then follow this procedure assuming that you have a foreign mailing address –

 

Go back to the My Info section, located on the left side of the online program screen.  Edit the Mailing Address.  Change the Type of Address to US (using the dropdown).  Enter the billing address.  Go back to the File section to complete paying for the account with the credit card. 

 

After the payment has been completed, go back to My Info and Edit the Mailing Address again.  Change the Type of Address to Foreign Country and enter the original address.
