I e-filed my taxes and mistakenly filed married filing jointly instead of separately. My return was accepted but I need to change it so my hubby can file us both jointly

I did not enter my husband's w-2 info on my return. Is there a way to ask that my return not be processed?  Can I file my husband's as married filing joint without it being rejected?

There is no way to cancel a return that has been accepted, and if you file another return Married Filing Jointly with your information on it, it will most likely be rejected due to duplicate social security numbers. Instead, I would amend the return that you have already submitted to include your husband's information and income.
