I e-filed Federal & state returns on 1/23 then received email stating my Federal return had been accepted. Will the IRS look at my return right away or wait for the 29th?

The IRS will begin processing tax returns on January 29th. Your Federal Return being accepted means that your tax return is now in the government's hands. You can keep an eye on your Federal and State return status by following the instructions below:
