I e-filed and paid online, then I receive notice from turbotax to do an amend. I am getting some money back from IRS, but it's saying to mail a 1040v. Do I need to?

Why do you need to amend?  Maybe the IRS will catch it and change your return for you.

You should not amend until the first return has fully processed and you get the first refund or your tax due payment has cleared.

Go by the actual 1040X.  Line 18 should be your original refund amount and line 22 should be your additional refund.  If you paid on your original return it will be on line 16.  If there is an amount owed with the amendment, it will be on line 20.

If you have a tax due, do not send the 1040V.  Just include a check with the 1040X.  Ignore the 1040V.  That is for the original return or what the original return would have been if it didn’t need correcting.  Don’t pay the amount on the 1040V.  Pay the amount on the actual 1040X.

I’m sorry; I found have clarified.

I filed, it was accepted, I paid the amount we owed. Then some time later I get an email saying there was export issue with quickbooks and to double check that with what TurboTax showed. There were inconsistencies I fixed and are now getting some of that money back that we already from initial return. It says even though I filed electronically that I should mail in the 1040v. But that just doesn’t seem right. I shouldn’t have to mail anything in. Taxes were already accepted and paid. I am getting money back with the amend.

Ok.  Did you efile the amended return?  They will mail you a check for the refund.  Ignore the 1040V.  Do not mail it.
