I do not have access to my 2015 tax return, but I need my AGI. I should have access to it from last year on Turbo Tax, but I do not and never received a copy in the mail.

Here is everything that you should need to successfully retrieve your 2015 AGI.

If the account that you are using this year is the same as last years you can get your AGI by following these steps.

  1. Log into your TurboTax account
  2. Click on My TurboTax
  3. My TaxTimeline
  4. At the bottom of the screen, click on Looking for Prior Year Return
  5. Click on 2015
  6. There should be an AGI option there

If there is no 2015 option, that could mean that you used a different account to file your last years taxes.

You can always get a Tax Transcript from the IRS. Here is the link to that page in their website. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript
And if all else fails you can always file by mail, which will  by pass the AGI entirely.

Your AGI will be located on your form 1040 on lines:

  • Line 4 if you filed a Form 1040EZ
  • Line 21 if you filed a Form 1040A
  • Line 37 if you filed a Form 1040

If rejected because of AGI, here is information for that.
