I checked my CA refund and it states: Please allow 3 months from the date you filed your return to complete processing. How will I know if they need additional info

If they need additional information they will send you a letter.  Otherwise they will send you your refund.  I'm guessing you filed on paper?  That, in my personal experience, adds weeks or more delay.
