I cannot find my wife's Social Security form. Can I continue and file an amended return later?

Yes, you can do that. It might be easier to file for an extension now and finish your return after you find or get another copy of her Social Security statement.  Your wife can also get her Social Security statement for 2016 online at this website:  https://secure.ssa.gov/RIL/SiView.do
