I became a wellness advocate for Doterra. If I made $200.00 in commission (which I would say would be alot more than I think I earned). Do i need to claim that if so how?

I sent a lot of samples in the mail and supplies do I need to count them?

Self-employment tax starts at $400 of net profit for a self-employed person.

Since you're not subject to that, you could just report it as Hobby Income using TurboTax Premier:

Go To:

  • Federal Taxes >> Wages and Income
  • Scroll down to >> Less Common Income at the bottom of the screen
  • Select >> "Miscellaneous Income
  • Scroll down to >> Hobby Income and Expense
  • Select >> "Start"
  • Enter your income
  • Enter your expenses, but not more than your income
