I applied on April 15; my refund is "accepted" not "approved". When I called them, TurboTax has no record of my SSN, but IRS says it's processing. What should I do?

I applied for my tax refund on April 15, and my refund is still at the "refund accepted" stage. My friends who filed on the same date have already received their refunds, but mine hasn't even reached the "refund approved" stage. When I called TurboTax, they said there is no record of my filing with this SSN, but the IRS said it is still processing.

If the IRS tax refund website shows your federal tax refund as Processing then the IRS has received your tax return.

After the tax return has been Accepted by the IRS (meaning only that they received the return) it will be in the Processing mode until the tax refund has been Approved and then an Issue Date will be available on the IRS website.
