Same situation here. Received the following via email:

As a reminder, your Turbo℠ Visa® Debit Card, issued by Green Dot Bank¹, will arrive soon. Although you were not approved for a Refund Advance, your refund amount, less any applicable fees and the cost of any products or services agreed to, will be loaded onto your card when the IRS or state tax authorities distributes your refund.

For questions about your Turbo℠ Visa® Debit Card, please visit xxxxxx.

If you have any questions about your federal tax refund, please visit xxxxxxx. If you have any questions about your state tax refund, please contact your state government agency.”

I filed over a month ago and remember not being approved so I went ahead and set up direct deposit instead... could this be a glitch email?

Curious, was the email a scam after all? I got that same email back in Feb too?

Those emails appear legitimate.  Not being approved for an Advance Refund does not preclude receiving your refund, once issued, to the Turbo debit card if you wished.
