Try correcting the amount of refund received during the interview for Amending, It is toward the end of the process and you must indicate how much you paid or were refunded from the original return.

If you are in TurboTax Desktop, you could adjust the refund received in the Forms mode. There is a worksheet there that you can show no refund has yet been issued.
