To access your prior year return, you would need to upgrade your account. To do so, make sure that you are in your account. Select Take me to my return (if you haven’t already), then Upgrade in the left-hand menu and choose Plus. Select File in the left-hand menu and continue until you get to Review your order. Then select Start and follow the on-screen instructions.
appreciate your comments, i was able to access 2017 but not 2016. does that mean that i have the correct version of turbo tax?
If you were able to upgrade your account to Plus to obtain your 2017 year return and you do not see your 2016 return, it may be possible that you may have used a different account for your 2016 return.
