I am receiving "Something went wrong..." error when attempting to edit income. Why am I receiving this error?

TurboTax informs me I have been with TurboTax for 5 years but now doesn't have my rental properties from last year. What's going on?

Sounds like your computer may be experiencing a loop.  Let's clear your cookies, history and reboot.

 

Cookies are small files that temporarily store data on your computer. We use them to personalize your experience so you see information you already entered and not items that are irrelevant or repetitive.

 

On rare occasions, they may make your browser think you already did something that you still need to do. To fix that, you'll need to delete (clear) the cookies from your browser.

Each browser has a slightly different method for deleting cookies. Choose the browser you're using:

I cleared my cache prior to this post. I also tried a different browser and restarted my machine.

 

I shared my screen with TurboTax support. They were also unable to identify the issue after 40 minutes. They offered a discount on a desktop version but the discount was less than what I could purchase from Costco without a discount...I ended up purchasing the Costco TurboTax desktop version.

I got rid of all cookies as advised...still no success with changing nothing more than the bank name.

Also my file tab does not work.

Please help.

We have no COSCO nearby. TURBO TAX should fix the issue, not put the work on us.

You can get a  download from TurboTax if your online program is not working.  There is just no way for us to know what is going on with your computer or your internet, beyond basic troubleshooting steps.

 

Contact Customer Service.  You can also order a download from Amazon.

I checked previous years and they all worked with having to change income reports. I am done with entering all data, except this correction. To tell me to buy a new program at Amazon is saying that TT is not willing to look at this glitch.  It would take you all seconds to do this, but NO the customer has to waste their time.

I have used TT since the earliest days of MacInTax. 

I hate to give up on you!!

I figured it out! Had to go to forms, the one not on top bar of the tax form itself, but on the Chrome bar and to find the appropriate forms for D and reenter the incorrect data there.

Now, as far as I can tell, one cannot change within the easy entry function or the usual side bar that allows updates. It seems not to function.
