I am applying for Medicare. Social Security wants to review 4 W-2 from 2004 to 2009. I dont have these copies. Does Turbo Tax save copies that far back

No, TurboTax only retains tax returns for the past seven years.

Since this request is from Social Security you should be able to get the W-2's needed from the following Social Security website at no charge - https://faq.ssa.gov/en-us/Topic/article/KA-02501

the request does not make sense because the SSA should already have copies.  They are supposed to get originals from the employer and then pass the info on to the iRS. The SSA says it keeps copies from 1978 onward. neither the IRS nor online Turbotax keep copies going back that far.

call them to find out why they need copies since they should already have them and if they don't, there may be no other source.
