I am an active junior (currently 16) firefighter / ambulance volunteer in NY state. Do I qualify for the tax credit as a junior member?

I am a 16 year old JUNIOR member of Sinclairville Fire Department.  I don't know if this qualifies me for the NYS volunteer Firefighter tax credit.

It looks like you do qualify.  Here is a link to the NY website that describes this credit:  NY Firefighter Credit.  There is nothing that says that you have to be a Senior Member to qualify, and it does not say you don't qualfiy if someone may claim you as a dependent.
