I am a dependent and entered this information into your software however it is still giving me a standard deduction- which I do not think is allowed.

Am I able to take this deduction as well as my parents?

As a dependent, on your tax return you receive the standard deduction.  You do Not receive the personal exemption of $4,050 on your tax return.  Your personal exemption is entered on the tax return of the person claiming you as a dependent.
