How to Update Info Turbotax transfers from last years income file

Turbotax carries over info from my previous years tax info.  How to update this.  In the past, I did consulting and was in business for myself.  Turbo tax counted medicare Part B premiums as medical insurance  as deductible.

Now   that I no longer do this and am only retired, I cant find a way to stop Turbotax from continuing.  Also dont know what happened to computer equipment that was being deprciated.

Help.

Stop continuing what?  Medicare is still deductible on Schedule A if you don't file Schedule C anymore.  Delete the SSA-1099 and re add it including the Medicare.

You need to close the business properly.  Or if it transferred over there is a special way you have to delete it.

And see  this article on closing a business

apparently, you are doing something incorrectly.  to avoid medicare premiums being deducted as an adjustment to gross income, they should be entered along with the social security information. (social security benefits form SSA-1099)   only by entering these premiums on the activity worksheet (business income and expenses) would they end up on schedule 1.
