how to properly fill in Column B of 1040X

I am manually filing a 1040X to amend my 2016 return. My AGI is going up due to the amendment, so in Line 1 of the 1040X, I will put the net change in Col B, and the figure in Col C will reflect that net change to the originally reported figure.

Question #1: Since changing Line 1 causes changes further down the 1040X, should I populate Col B in all impacted lines all the way down, even if doing so is really just a repetition of the change in Line 1, Col B?

Question #2: For lines where there is no change being made to the originally reported figures (i.e. Col A and Col C match exactly), should I put a zero in Col B, or just leave it blank?

Thanks all!!

1. Yes, change the columns for all the lines that are affected.

2. No, if there is no change, only enter the amount in Col A and C. Leave Col B blank for those lines.
