How long does it take the irs to accept your federal and state tax return after it has been filed electronically. We filed on Sat. February 3, 2018

Your e-filed return will remain in Pending status until the government has accepted or rejected it...typically 24-48 hours for Federal returns.  State returns may stay in Pending for several days or longer.
