How do I retrieve my electronic 2018 taxes that I completed on my computer but deleted the file?

When you use the downloaded/CD version  then it is your responsibility to safeguard the tax files ... only you have a copy of them and if you delete them without having a backup then they are gone.   You can recreate the return if needed, get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee a copy of the return.
