When filing with TurboTax we run thousands of error checks as you go and double-check your tax return before you file. Once you have e-filed your tax return you should receive an email informing you that your tax return was successfully e-filed.
To verify if your tax return has been completed, you can sign back into your Online account and your e-file status will be prominently displayed on the screen. (see screenshot)
You can also visit the TurboTax e-file status lookup tool by visiting the following link Check e-file status
to get your current status (pending, accepted or rejected).
Note: If you have not filed your tax return, upon sign in you will see a message that says "Take me to my return". In this instance you can simply follow the onscreen instructions to file the tax return.
As noted above, TurboTax has many checks on your tax return. TurboTax has an Accuracy Guarantee that will reimburse you for any penalties and interest if the IRS or a state agency charges you that because of our calculation error.
However, our data is only as good as your input.
For this reason, we also offer TurboTax Live where you can ask credentialed tax professionals on the phone questions about your return, and even ask for a line-by-line review where a tax professional will review your return with you and then sign it as your tax preparer.
Please see TurboTax Live if you are interested in Live help.
Of course, we in the Community are also here to answer your specific questions, although we cannot see your tax data or tax return.
TurboTax has a built in review and checks and balances into the program. It can only review what you have entered but that is usually pretty accurate. If you went through the review process prior to transmitting your return and it cleared you to file, then your return is most likely accurate.
