How do i get a stimulus payment when my 2018 return never got processed

turbo tax e filed my 2018 return a year ago and it didn't get processed because of id verification 5071c letter i recieved 30 days too late to respond. when i tried to use id-verify i couldn't get passed the registration process because of my info not matching their records. it had been over seven years since i filed a return prior. i went ahead and paper filed my 2018 return about a week ago. i'm learning now that nobody at the irs is processing paper returns.

Do you have a 2019 filing requirement? If so, you will want to e-file 2019 for the stimulus (if you otherwise qualify for it based on the stimulus requirements).
