How do I get a refund for the e-file fee if I've changed my status to file by mail?

There's no fee to efile using the Online version.  You pay for the preparation, the cost is the same whether you efile or mail it in.

The fee is not for e-file, e-file is free. Any fee you paid would have been preparation fees, or fees for premier services you may have added.
