If you filed the 2016 state tax return you cannot file it again. If the state tax return that was filed and accepted by the state needs to be changed then you amend the tax return.
If you meant that you need to file the 2016 tax return since it has Not been filed, then download the PDF of the tax return. The state return will be included in the PDF and located directly below the federal tax return worksheets. Print, sign, date and mail the state return. Include any forms W-2 and 1099 that have state income taxes withheld.
To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents click on Show. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
