Sorry, but you cannot use the website for a 2010 return. The online software available is only for 2018. Prior year software only goes back to 2015. All earlier years have been retired. It is too late to get a tax refund for 2010 but if you owe tax due the IRS still wants you to pay. You can go to www.irs.gov and get prior year forms to prepare by hand.

Don’t forget your state. And you will have to print and mail your returns. So be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
