Please see the following instructions to open the State return for editing. Please note this option is not available if you have already e-filed the state return. If the return has been e-filed you'll have to amend the state return.
- Sign in to your TurboTax Online account.
- From the "Welcome" screen, scroll down to "Your tax return and documents" and click Show.
- Scroll down and click the Add a state button. (Don't worry you are not really adding another state, this is just a step we have to complete to get to back to your state return.)
- On the left menu bar, click "State" then click continue to view your state return. Click "Edit" to make changes as needed.
