How do I check and see if they are direct depositing my checks or sending in mail. I don't have that checking account I had last year when I filed on turbo tax

Have you filed a return with the correct direct deposit information on it? If the only direct deposit information in the IRS database is now incorrect, the bank will decline the deposit and the IRS will issue a check and mail it to you at the address they have on file.

The IRS rolled out the "Get My Payment" tool here. According to IRS.gov, you can use the "Get My Payment" application to:

• Check your payment status
• Confirm your payment type: direct deposit or check
• Enter your bank account information for direct deposit if the IRS doesn't  have your direct deposit information and if they haven't sent your payment yet.
• Receive paper check payments: If you moved since you last filed, let us know your new mailing address.
