How do I change the grant amount for school? The 1098T amount was wrong & I need to change it to the correct amount, but it won't let me edit it.

You can't.

There is no where on the IRS forms to "adjust" a 1098-T. If the 1098-T, you received, is not accurate, just don't enter it in Turbotax or change the box 5 amount at the 1098-T screen to what you think it really is. The IRS does not match your box 5 entry to  the copy of the 1098-T that they get.

I don't want to change the form.  I want to change what I entered in TurboTax.  I discovered after going to the school's site to get the cost of books that the amount on the 1098T form was incorrect and the correct amount was listed on the school's site.  I want to change what I entered as the 1098T amount in TurboTax to the correct amount.  Is it not possible to edit that amount that was already entered but is incorrect?  We can edit everything else but that?  I even tried clicking that I did not receive any grants to try to erase it and it still had that amount in there.

Yes. Type> 1098-T <in the find box.  Then click "Jump to". That will take you to the education summary. Click "Edit' next to student name. On the next screen, click "Edit" next to the school name. That will take you to the 1098-T screen.  Select Yes (it should already be checked); then continue. On the next screen change your entries.

Thanks for your reply.  The program seems to have bugs this year.  It eventually allowed me to edit the figures, but I have had to log off, even overnight, to get the program to allow me to do so.  It eventually allowed me to edit the figures and I am done with the return.
