How do I add money I made that I forgot

Did you e-file already?

If you have not e-filed your tax return, you can enter your additional income. To add your self-employment income:

1. Launch TurboTax
2. Select Federal Taxes
3. Select Wages & Income
4. Scroll down and select start by Self-Employment income and expenses
5. You will scroll through the screens and answer the questions about your self-employment income and expenses.

If you have already e-filed your tax return and it has been accepted, you will have to prepare an amendment. Wait until the IRS has processed your tax return before you amend it.

If you used TurboTax Online:

1. Launch TurboTax
2. Select Amend a return that was filed and accepted.

 If you used our CD/download product:

1. Launch TurboTax
2. Select Amend a filed return.
