In 2020, I worked in 2 states.
When file tax amend form to claim foreign tax credit this April, turbotax charged $48 to download 2 states' tax form.
First state amend form is e-filed, 2nd state form is printed and mailed by instruction.
Later we get letter from 2nd state, said we owe tax + interest.
After some investigation, we found turbotax generated wrong tax amend form(wrong filing status): my spouse is full year resident, I'm partial, we should use married filing separately for state tax, but amend form is married jointly.
Now we can't send new amend form becuase it passed 3 years deadline for tax year 2020.
I want to know if turbotax could help to correct the error and reimburse money.
