Pretty easy. Start a new return. Save it under a different name. Might even be able to just rename your existing one. Can just go in and adjust amounts you want on this new return to see what happens. Just don't file it. I realize you are using the 2016 return but it should give you a pretty good idea on 2017 based on current info.
