Hi what does it mean when they ask if you want ur return to be applyed for next year does that mean you wont get ur taxes back this year ?

I think i hit yes I thought it meant save my info for next year

Yes, it means that you won't get your refund and it will be applied to next years estimated tax bill instead.

As long as you didn't file yet, you can change it.  Go back to this section -

  • Log into your account and click Take Me to My Return
  • Choose Federal Taxes (or Personal if using Self Employed full version)
  • Select Other Tax Situations
  • Scroll down to Additional Tax Payments
  • Select Apply Refund to Next Year
  • Proceed through the prompts and change the answer to No (if that's what you want)

I am not 100 percent sure but i think i did and i already filed is there any other way i can change that omg

Are you getting a refund?  It would have been pretty obvious something happened because your Turbotax refund meter would have went to zero.  Do you have a print out copy of your return?

Yes it shows i am getting a refund it got accepted and i got the prepaid turbo card in mail

Ok, then you should be good.  But, check line 20a of your return to be sure - it should have your refund amount there.  Line 21 is where you would see a number if you accidentally applied it to 2019.
