Hi this is [Removed]. In my 2017 tax filing, Turbo tax made a big mistake and calculated a state refund of $50,378. Refund was around $3000. What do I do now?

I received a Form 1099-G stating a refund of $50,378.00 . How do you want me to reconcile that?

I would contact the issuer of that Form 1099-G to obtain one for the corrected amount. The phone number should be on the form.

If you received $50,378 and did not repay that, then that Form 1099-G is correct.

I would definitely contact them first to obtain a corrected Form 1099-G or determine the difference.
