Amended return? Did you mean your original tax return? You should not have amended the tax return using Form 1040-X until the original return was processed by the IRS and you received the tax refund or the taxes owed had been paid.
The IRS will take up to 20 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.
what does this mean? the original return was supposed to be $2,984, I put the wrong AGI for 2022 twice because i couldn't find my paperwork. Now it's not showing a refund amount. I'm qualify for EITC shouldn't I get a refund for this year regardless of what my 2022 AGI is?
Nothing changed on your tax return since all you did was correct the 2022 AGI. The refund will remain the same. Why it is not posted when the return was Accepted by the IRS, I do not know.
