Although have entered into an installment agreement with the Internal Revenue Service, they will still apply your overpayment to any balance that is owing.

One of the conditions of the installment agreement is to ensure that you stay compliant with the filing and paying of any taxes that are outstanding, or that you may be liable for in the future.

Your statement ended with "I'm worried that they". Could you please provide additional information so that I will know how to answer.  Thank you.

Thank you , I meant to say I’m worried that they will hold my entire refund .

Ok , but I will like to know if that will affect my entire refund , will they just deduct the balance or hold my entire refund ?

They should only take what you owe and send you the rest.

The Internal Revenue Service will only apply the amount that is due.  The difference will be refunded to you.
