Hi! i filed my taxes a month ago or so, already got my federal refund back i'm wondering if it is weird that i haven't been charged yet for my state. I owed for state.

i just want to make sure this isnt something i have to manually do, i was under the impression it would be taken from the same account my federal refund was issued to. thank you!

Generally, the funds are withdrawn on the payment date you specified if your return has already been accepted. If you still don't see the debit 7-10 days after your return has been accepted and your specified date, you will contact your state tax agency, if you owe a state payment. You can choose your state below and it will take you to their contact page with phone numbers to reach them.  If you didn't specify a date, then April 18th is the default payment date.
