Hello. My name is[removed]. I just filed and I'm excited on my return. I chose the option to have my check mailed to my apartment. How many weeks will I wait on my return

How long is wait to get my return in the mailbox?

The IRS releases most refunds within 21 calendar days after the e-file has been accepted, not 21 days from the e-filing date. For mailed returns, allow 5-6 weeks from the postmark date.

If it has been more than 21 days since your return has been accepted you will need to contact the IRS. Their telephone number is 1-800-829-1040- Business hours Monday - Friday 7am-7pm.
