Hello! I am an H2B visa worker and I want to apply for the tax refund.

Do I need something different from the american citizens?

It depends.  When you are on H2B visa, you may file a US Resident Return if you meet the substantial presence test.  If you were within the United States for more than 183 days last year, you meet the test and may file as a resident.  As long as you have a Social Security Number, you will receive the same benefits as a US Citizen will on a similar tax return.

If you don't have a Social Security Number or were in the country less than 183 days, comment your situation for further assistance.
