Hello, how do you file for a tax advance with out the W2s?

I have filed on here for the past few years, but trying to do this tax advance is confusing, especially with out W2s?  How do I go about wages when it wants w2 information, I know approximations, but not exacts that should be good enough, and remain consistent with prior years.  Would paying for live support help in this matter, it should just be a simple tax filing with a dependent?  Thanks for your help.

There are no refund advance loans available at this time.  If  TurboTax offers refund advance loans  for 2022 returns it will be during January to mid-February.   The loan has to be offered to you; you cannot apply for it.   And the money is not issued until your e-file is accepted by the IRS.

You will not be able to get a refund advance on the 2022 tax return until January 2023.  Then you will have to complete a 2022 tax return, which Must include the W-2's from your employers.  Then if you are eligible, in the File section of the program, if you are getting a 2022 federal tax refund, have selected direct deposit of the refund and e-file the federal tax return and the IRS has accepted the tax return, would the refund advance be issued.

However, the IRS will not be accepting any e-file tax return until late January 2023.

And.....do not try to file your tax return using pay stubs.  WAIT for your W-2's, which your employers are supposed to issue to you by the end of January.

Please do not try to use your pay stub to prepare your tax return.  It will not match the W-2 that you will get from your employer in just a few short weeks.  Your employer has until the end of January to give you your W-2.  By waiting for your W-2 you will be able to file accurately.  If you try to guess what goes in the W-2 “boxes” and mess up your return, you will need to amend.  It takes about 6 - 9 months to amend a tax return.  The IRS will not be accepting 2022 returns until the end of January —  so you can wait for your W-2.  If you are hoping to get a quick tax refund by filing early, using your pay stub might have the opposite result.  Your tax return will not match the W-2 reported to the IRS by your employer; this may result in rejection of your return — or if accepted, could actually delay your refund for months.  And, if you are hoping to get EIC or the child tax credit, your refund will not be released until late February anyhow due to the PATH act.  It is much wiser to wait for your W-2 and file correctly.

And….remember….ALL of your 2022 W-2’s go on the SAME tax return.
