My return was approved last week an d they gave me the date of (2/24/22). Today is the 24th and it is a little after midnight and I have not received any update on the tool, in my email, nor my bank. My bank always makes funds accessible once they receive a deposit even when I get my tax refunds every year. I have never changed my bank or anything. The bank says if I don't receive it to contact the IRS because they wouldn't know. Does anyone know how this goes or will go this year?

I am a little concerned.
Was it the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool that gave you the date of 2/24?
The IRS says to allow up to 5 days due to variations in bank processing procedures, etc. Plus it's still very early on the 24th (in fact, in some parts of the country it's still February 23.) Many banks don't process electronic deposits until much later in the night.
If the IRS has released your refund, have you checked on the status of your funds at SBTPG, the company who handles the refund when you choose to pay fees out of your Federal refund?
If the IRS has sent your refund, the funds go first to an intermediary bank where the fees are subtracted. Then that intermediary bank sends the rest to your bank account (or card) in a second direct deposit. The company that administers that is SBTPG (Santa Barbara Tax Products Group.)
If you used that payment option, you can log in to your temporary account at SBTPG to see the status of your funds.

@Woa23 Wow! How long have you been waiting?? That scares me. Are you going to call the IRS or wait until March 1st?
Just waiting right now you gotta wait for the bank ID say before 10 you'll have it
@Woa23 Okay, that gives me some hope. I hope you receive it today. Good luck!
Still waiting in Michigan to.... makes me feel a little better that other people are still waiting to
@Woa23 I have another question, did you have to have any filing feels taken out of your refund? I opted for that but I now I keep running into any people having weeks of delays due to TPG hold onto their refund because they had filing fees, and many of these people have been doing it this way for years with turbo tax like me. @Kcmbug1978 I'm sorry I am late replying, I didn't see your message until now. Yeah, I am seeing many people having delays and it makes me feel better knowing I am not alone, but it also makes me anxious because I really need this refund badly right now. It has taken longer than usual because I have the child tax credit and the other thing. Maybe I am bugging. It's not even 2:00am yet lol. I've read online that the IRS actually disperses it around the times of 2:00am to 9:00am but aye, that could just be he say she say. Who knows smh
Mine said the 24th and its being deposited into my new credit karma account and it is 1:43am on the 24th where I am and no deposit yet....
Mine says the 24th as well and no money I hope ALL of us get our money soon and I mean very soon !
Hey I completely understand. I am over here having an anxiety attack because I need this refund badly also. I got that credit karma card so I was worrying about that.... but every year I freak out. Hang in there and keep me posted. I know I won't be able to sleep
Yea it not even 2 just be patient I need my too...and I also claimed child tax credit...and the irs says after they deposit it could take 3 to 5 hours to receive
Hi. Same situation here. I'm thinking maybe it will be deposited around banking hours??
I have to work at 7:30 I guess I’ll have me some coffee later bc I’m not sleeping until my account update with my refund

I did check that bank account that takes out the fees and it said they've been paid!
