Having problem cashing out my Treasury Check in Malaysia. Is it possible to void my check and have my tax refund direct deposit into my friend's US account?

Unlikely, as banks generally will not deposit checks if the names don't match.

Surely you can deposit it in your bank and wait for it to be cleared.
