Has anyone received a form CP23 from the IRS for 2021

The form says we have changed the your 2021 for 1040 to match our record of your estimated tax payments, credits applied from another tax year and/or payments with an extension to file. As a result you xxx $.

I am now trying to match what they have sent with with what TT calculated. AGI and taxable income match.  I will report back if I spot the discrepancy.

If IRS billed you, respond with the payment.

That's the end of the matter.

Looks like there was a discrepancy on my side. I had incorrectly reported an estimated tax payment on my return. Should I just send the amount due or submit and amended return?

I used the website to make an electronic payment. Didn’t want to send a paper payment with SSN written on it and the attached coupon. Hopefully, their systems are good to see that the payment’s been made.
