Has anyone else delt with a refund being delayed because the form 8962 was not submitted through turbotax? They didn't even ask for it this year. I faxed in my 1095a and now i'm just waiting.

Anyone else? I'm trying to see how long the delay will actually be.

Same here! Now I got an email from Turbo Tax that they will deduct $80 from my bank account to pay for it because my refund isn’t ready and they are the ones who caused the issue.

@brie323me We're not able to look into the IRS turnaround timing for submitting your forms. It's probably best to keep to eye on Where's My Refund?.

You can also call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.

When calling the IRS do NOT choose Option 1

Choose Option 2 after you choose the language.

Then Press 1

Then Press 4

Then Press 2, it will then transfer you to an agent.

This IRS FAQ page will provide more answers.

I am still waiting. I faxed my forms March 3rd and still no updates or refund.

It happened to me too. They truly messed up this year. I always relied on them. I am a single mom. I was married 24 years and my children's dad is not very good about child support. I barely make it paycheck to paycheck. This delay, because I was unaware that I needed to fill out those forms, cost me an extra month of wait time for my return. I hate to admit it but I had to take out a payday loan. :( Then I lost my job due to covid 19.  The kids and I are scraping by but none of this should have happened.  They always have shown me each form I need.  I trusted them. I referred everyone I knew to them. They never let me down before. This year it was like a knife in the gut. Now we are waiting for stimulus payments and there is no communication with whether we will see it on our turbo tax cards or on a check.  I have exhausted my return on rent, utilities, insurance, monthly bills.  The Florida unemployment website is all jacked up and although I applied when I was furloughed in March I have yet to be approved. ;( I have $0 left in savings $10 on my turbo card and $22 in my checking account.  Honest, I am not crying... I am stronger than that. I just will never use Turbo tax again.

I am soooo sorry to hear that. I’m not working now either and desperately need my refund. It’s been six weeks since I faxed in the health insurance paperwork and still nothing! TurboTax has debuted my account $80 for filing my taxes because I haven’t gotten a refund yet and it’s their fault. Yet they don’t want to do anything about it.

I too have been a victim of an error by Turbo Tax for 2019.  Their system did not generate the required 1095a or the form 8962..  IRS accepting my return then rejected it. It's October and I'm still waiting for my return. In the meantime, Turbo tax debited my account for $159.00... No worries, I will never use them again!
