Once your updated information is submitted you should receive your stimulus payment within 5 business days.
Please follow these steps to update your information in the portal:
If you do not update your direct deposit information by January 16, or if your bank rejects your stimulus payment a second time, your stimulus funds may be required to be sent back to the IRS. You may then need to claim your stimulus payment in the form of a Recovery Rebate Credit when you file your 2020 tax return.
We know how important these funds are for so many Americans and we regret that an IRS error caused a delay in you receiving your stimulus payment.
The first email said it will be sent to your bank account within 5 business days of you updating your bank info. my email said it was due by 1/14 @ midnight. Which is when I did it. But the 5 business will be after the 16th.
If for ANY reason you do not receive all or part of your stimulus payments in advance, you can have it added to your refund. The IRS will stop mailing payments on 1/15 and will not begin processing returns until 2/12/21 so all stimulus payments should have been received by then and you can file the return with the credit.
Please wait until you are certain there is no second payment, then you can follow these steps, if necessary.

So 5 business days from 1/14 is not correct? That is what my email from TT says
