Has anybody that was on unemployment and had their tax withheld and filed before the American Recovery Act was passes seen their refund? I filed my return in Feb. 2021.

I filed in February 2021 and had received my funds before the American Recovery Act was passed, and now it's the middle of August, and I still not have seen the tax refund.  Has anybody received their refund?

Millions of people have received those "extra" unemployment refunds which are being issued in batches.   The people who have already received them are much less likely to be reading your questions here or replying to them, since they are "done, "  although someone who received the refund might reply to you.

The IRS is recalculating refunds for people whose AGI is $150K or below and who filed before the tax law that changed the amount of unemployment that is taxable on a federal return became effective.

The IRS began to send out the additional refund checks for tax withheld from unemployment in May.  The refunds are being sent out in batches—starting with the simplest returns first.   If you are eligible for the extra refund for federal tax that was withheld from your unemployment the IRS will be sending you an additional refund sometime during the next several months.

TurboTax cannot track or predict when it will be sent.  The IRS has not provided a way for you to track it, so all you can do is wait for the refund to arrive.

Did you look at your return carefully ... not everyone will see more refund due to the unemployment change ... so did you already get the withholding  back in the original refund ?  If line 16 on the  form 1040 was already a zero then there is nothing more to expect.

I filed my return in February, before the American Rescue Plan was even passed.  Any yes, I have an amount of taxes listed on line 16, of the 1040-SR return.  Some of the tax withholdings was due to the job I had before I went on unemployment.

Then all you can do is wait until the IRS gets to your return in the PILE of returns they still have to adjust ... sadly there is no way to track the progress of this correction.
