My boyfriend is claiming head of household where we moved with my 2 children as dependents. We got a cp75 irs notice. Can we resolve this by phone? What proof can he send in for head of household if his name not directly on bills but pays them all?
"my" 2 children" Is he their father? If he is not, he cannot claim HOH.
He needs his OWN child to claim Head of Household and EIC, etc. Has to be blood related to him.
Right, and the CP75 notice is for EIC, not HOH.

Well he filled out through turbo tax and it lets u pit them if not blood even in there little test to just check dependency. Everything else apply we all live together he claimed them last year but made less money and we moved so i guess thats y its sticking out now. If u google same senireo it will tell u yes cause the girlfriend live in same home and children that he supplied for. And it will also say no cause the blood thing and we are not trying to be deceiving just not trying to be in trouble and not sure how to totally do this.
Also everything is in my name but i have no income for now or then. His bank statement has this address and he has job and family mail for here.
No, unfortunately, you cannot resolve this notice by phone. You can provide copies of the bills your boyfriend pays and a copy of the cancelled checks or credit card statements showing that your boyfriend paid the bills. Click here for a document from IRS that will give you ideas on the types of documents you can use to substantiate your filing status and dependency exemptions.
IRS is asking you provide copies of the documents they are requesting in the letter you received. You may also have to complete a response form showing which items your supporting documentation addresses and return the form with the documents you are submitting.
