Did you enter non-money charitable contributions?

Was the total of non-cash donations over $500?    Did you qualify for itemized deductions or use the standard deduction?

Have you already paid and filed?

Why are you asking me this?  Its over $500

Because you cannot claim donation deduction when using the standard deduction.  You have to be able to itemize on Schedule A.

Or are you asking in regards to deductibility directly on a state return?  Such as Minnesota, for instance? (there may be others)
If so, what state?

Answer revised on 3/15/19:

I reported the fact that Turbotax sometimes failed to print form 8283 on Feb 18, 2019.
In my case it occured if there was a restriction that required an explanation statement to be attached.
The form could only be printed if I indicated that there is no restriction (which might be improper
and might cause IRS to be concerned that a significant restriction was not disclosed)
Two representatives tried to close out the trouble report without resolving the problem.
I asked that the problem be escalated and resolved properly.

Intuit TT addressed this issue in:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/4629540-why-can-t-i-print-noncash-charitable-contributions-form-8283

That article originally said the problem was expected to be fixed on 3/8/2019.  There was a minor update on
that date, but no release note description, and more importantly no fix to the 8283 printing problem
that I had reported.  As noted by @epo39b, a revised version of that article said a fix was expected 3/15/19,
and it has now been further revised to say the problem is resolved with a 3/15/19 update.

I have verified that my problem in printing Form 8283 with a restriction explanation is now resolved.

If you still have problems make sure you have the latest updates.  Also keep in mind that Form
8283 does not need to be printed if you are taking a standard deduction and don't need
details about itemized deductions that are less than the standard deduction.

Thanks for the info.

@skohlmiller
Does the TurboTax article in the answer above describe the same issue you are having?

It says it was supposed to be fixed on last week's update, but the FAQ  has not changed to "resolved" yet, so it must still be a problem.   I'll ask a Moderator if there's any word on it.

@larryeischen1 @rjmswarren  @skohlmiller
A Moderator responded today, that the new expected fix date is March 15.    The FAQ has just been updated to reflect that new date.
