FILING AN AMENDED RETURN

Within a day of electronically filing a trust return, I realized that I omitted something and so filed an amended return.  When it came time to filing the amended return, the app told me I had to submit it by mail.  Yet, when I went through the process of printing the amended return, it only printed the Electronic Filing Instructions for the return instead of a cover sheet telling me where to mail the amended return.  Is it possible that my amended return was also sent electronically?

Do not amend until your original return has been fully processed to avoid unnecessary delays.

How to amend my return?

I have to file an amended return due to new 1099; however, I will owe in either case. I received notification from TurboTax that my federal return was accepted by the IRS. In the email it says this means "[I'm] officially finished filing [my] federal taxes..."  Your response said to not submit the amended until my original has been fully processed.

Am I able to file my amended return now, or do I wait until the original payment transaction goes through to file?

If you owed with your original return, wait until that payment is cleared. If you sent a check, wait until that check has cleared your bank. You want to make sure prior to filing the amendment that the IRS has your payment applied to your account.
